An annual tradition that the Council continued was presenting Bibles to the new student faith leaders at Holy Trinity Parish. The Council purchased Bibles for the 8th grade students of Holy Trinity School and the Level 7 PREP students of the Parish. A presentation was made during the Council’s Fall Breakfast. During the 9:30 a.m. Mass, Parish Pastor and Council Chaplain Monsignor John C. Eckert said a prayer over the Bibles and prayed for these students. Each student received a personalized Bible which included a name plate and a prayer that lets the students know to continue to keep the Bible close to them and that the Knights of Columbus continue to keep these students in our prayers. Deputy Grand Knight Brad Stanton said, “it was an honor to present the personalized Bibles to the Holy Trinity 8th grade students and the Level 7 PREP students. Our hope is they will keep it near and dear to them throughout their lives.”
Council 3673 hosted our first breakfast celebration since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Parishioners and friends were invited to join the Council for breakfast on Sunday September 19th, 2021. The Council received tremendous response and support from the Parish community and had one of the strongest turnouts in recent memory. The council continued its role in providing safe Parish activities by ensuring indoor health and safety protocols were followed during the breakfast. Steve Beltle, PGK, FDD said, “it was exciting to once again see so many Parish members come out for our event. I had missed the opportunity to socialize with fellow Council members as well as Parish members.”
